365 Club

The “365” Club was organized by the Ladies of Elks in Stuart-Jensen in 1977 as a special fund raiser for all Elks’ ladies organizations in the State.

It was started as a penny-bank project, meaning each member saves a penny a day to be donated at any time during our club year to our chairlady.  As time passed, members started giving donations for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

The project has grown with more ladies organizations participating, making it one of our leading fund raisers.  We have become competitive with each club, trying to raise more money than the others.

All monies are held within the individual clubs until our annual conference.  At that time a report is given by the “365 Club” State Chairlady and a check is presented from the Florida Ladies of Elks to help with the operation of the Elks Therapy Vans.

Like every organization, we have members who, for various reasons, are unable to participate in other fund raisers but would like to be somehow involved and contribute.  What easier way than saving a penny a day.
